Olde Sküül, Inc. in conjunction with Nephilim Game Studios are proud to announce our participation with Oddworld Inhabitants in creating New ‘n’ Tasty for the Nintendo® WiiU™.
February 12, 2016, Seattle, WA Olde Sküül, Inc. From Oddworld’s press release.
“We know it took longer to arrive than we predicted but we wanted to make sure that Wii U fans were presented with a game that looks just as good as other versions and plays equally as well too. We’d like to take this opportunity, once again, to thank Nintendo users for their patience while we took our time to get it right.
The Wii U version of New ‘n’ Tasty is the full, gorgeously rich and deep visual experience that other consoles have seen. It’s been specially tweaked and tuned to run on the Wii U – our first time on a Nintendo home console – and to look and play wonderfully on the GamePad.”
“Oddworld needed two versions of New ‘n’ Tasty done at the same time. Our team simultaneously developed both the Nintendo WiiU version and Playstation Vita version that shipped last month.” said Simon Golding CEO Nephilim Game Studios. “New ‘n’ Tasty is an exciting, memorable addition to Oddworld’s line of games. We are proud to be the team bringing this great game play to the WiiU.”
“New ‘n’Tasty stretched the boundaries of the Unity engine so much, that we had to modify the Unity engine itself to bring this game to the WiiU." said Rebecca Heineman CEO / CTO, Olde Skuul. “We love a technical challenge and had great support from the team over at Unity to get this wonderful game onto the WiiU. Congratulations to Jon Terp, Wendy Jones, Lisa Ching, and Eric Knopp; our excellent engineers who made this possible.”
